USSSA Fastpitch organization does offer national tournaments hosted in the Orlando, Central Region World Series in St. Louis, Kansas City, and other Midwest cities in all age groups. Plus this year Minnesota and Iowa directors are working together to host the Midway National Championship in Minnesota. It will be a 4 day national type event, open to any teams that play in a USSSA tournament this year. This Midway Championship will have all the amenities of a national tournament starting with an opening ceremony also a border battle with Iowa at all age group. Down and Dirty in Eagan, Minnesota Irish College Showcase, Bloomington, Lakeville, Becker, and Rosemount are all USSSA Tournaments.
Anyone that joins RAAA Rosemount tournaments by APRIL 20th the tournament host will cover your USSSA team sanctioning fee. All games are at Erickson Park in Rosemount.
USSSA is announcing, effective immediately, that ages 15U through 18U will adopt a 43 feet pitching distance for all USSSA games. We have asked State Directors look at making this change this fall but there will be some situations that might force directors to run 40 feet this fall. It will be mandatory that all USSSA events be 43 feet by January 1st, 2010 for ages 15U thru 18U. Read more…
Congratulations to the Lakeville Ice (Lakeville, MN) who took the 16B USSSA World Series Crown. During the event, the Ice posted a 10-1 record, scoring 50 runs while allowing 15 in the tournament. Read more…

The registration meeting for the new USSSA fall league will be at the Rosemount Community Center, 7pm on Monday August 3, 2009. Map is located here.
This league has the following highlights:
* Both Saturday and/or Sunday events
* Flexible schedule – two events minimum plus state tournament. You do
not need to play all 5 weekends
* Three games/day, maximizing travel investment
* Bracket play whenever possible for best matched competition
* Tier I & II levels of play

The USSSA Pride will play their home opener with one of the biggest pitching match ups of the 2009 NPF Season. US Olympians Monica Abbott and Jenny Finch will pitch game 1 of the series at 7:05 EST.
